Huntsville Art League (HAL)
is a cooperative, non-profit organization, run by local artists passionate about visual art. Established in 1957, our purpose is to cultivate local artists and friends of the arts through education and exhibition and community outreach.
The Gallery
Our artists are nationally recognized for their work in watercolor, oils, acrylics, mixed media, abstracts, photography, pen & ink, jewelry, glass, pottery, and wood. We also regularly exhibit at local malls, the Huntsville Times, Huntsville Library, and the Heritage Club.
Classes
We present Adult and Children's classes in the following - Beginning & Advanced painting: Watercolor, Oil, Acrylic and Pastels; basig and advanced Jewelry making, Calligraphy, Drawing, Glass beadmaking, Japanimation, oriental Painting, Portrait painting, Stained Glass, Photography, Photoshop, Web design, and much more...
Events
Free Lectures and Figure Drawing; Workshops, Peer Review, Plein Air Painting, Gallery Tour, Collector's Draw, "Unique Views of Huntsville" Exhibit, Panoply, Holiday Boutique, and The monthly featured Limelight artist & reception.
